Here's What the Kids will Enjoy......

Has your child ever dreamt of becoming a published author or simply enjoys writing as a hobby? Here’s their chance to showcase their writing skill and creativity by entering into the Writing Competition.

Children of all three age groups are invited to presubmit a short essay to express their feelings, thoughts, emotions and expressions on the theme of EARTH DAY – from descriptive to narrative in the English language.

Age group 7-9 yrs: Min word limit 300, Max 1000 words (Illustrations allowed. Parents can help type the content). Age group 10-12 yrs: Min word limit 500 words, Max 1000 words. Age group 13-15 yrs: Min word limit 700 words, Max 1000 words. One winner will be chosen in each age group. Kindly email to shikha@kitkateventz.com by 10th April 2023.

Please see Terms and Conditions section for more details on the chapter submission rules.

PS: Children who do not submit the essays for the competition can also participate in the event.

7-9 years old: IGNITE your senses – During this activity-packed session, we will learn how our senses trigger memories and create new ones to help us become more descriptive and poignant writers.

10-12 years old: IGNITE your inner eye- Learn how to IGNITE the writer in you. During this activity-packed session, we will learn how to draw upon our innermost ideas through the beauty of visuals and word prompts.

13-15 years old: The Conscious Writer- Are you interested in creating stories and having them published? Learn how to draw out the stories in you and help you become more conscious of your thoughts and experiences as a teen writer. In this session, we will draw experience from each other.

Told the right way, stories are powerful: they make us laugh; they make us cry; they make us come back for more, or run the other way. No storyteller wants people running the other away.

Join me for this workshop, where you’ll discover tried-and-tested techniques to make a good story great.

Meditation and mindfulness helps children to focus, balance and calm, as well as better able to deal with emotions, boost their confidence and self esteem. Using the theme of Earth Day and environment, these fun empowering classes will guide your child/teen to unlock their creativity.

Through mindfulness exercises, a short guided meditation and a creative drawing element, they will ground what they learn and set positive intentions for themselves and the well-being of our planet. They will also hold and use crystals if they choose, and are welcome to bring their own!

So now your child can read, but can they spell and write well? What are ways to make spelling and writing easier?

Participate in an enlightening 30-minute workshop for parent and child, specially curated for age group 7-9 year old to get an overview of English spelling and strategies to help support your primary-aged child.

This Earth Day, through yoga children will appreciate nature, instilling thoughts on how to take care of our planet and through that extension – ourselves. In nature everything flows and moves in unity; day becomes night, winter becomes spring, and so children see that things around us change but we can be rooted when needed. In the same circular way, we can learn to Reduce, Reuse, Recycle many things in our life.

So come and…..Be a seed, tree and a flower! Be the sun and the moon! Be an eagle, a snake, a camel, a dog, a cow or a fluttering butterfly! Breathe through it all, nourish yourself and the environment around you.

Reading with children develops their vocabulary, ability to listen and understand, and ability to connect sounds and words. It also helps children learn about the world around them. Join some of the renowned Children’s books authors from Hong Kong who will read to the kids and share ideas on how book reading can be a beautiful and fun activity for your child.
