Synopsis

Join us for “Ask the Panel” event covering financial planning and protection for Expats / PR / Singaporeans in Singapore. Relocating from one country to another presents cultural, professional and personal challenges, and financial planning can become a secondary priority as a result. SPEAKER’S PROFILE

Tim Purdy has worked in the Financial Services Industry for over 20 years. Having previously worked for a large UK Finance House and managed an Independent Brokerage for Life, mortgage and Investments. Tim has spent the last six years working for a Swiss Asset Management company based in Egypt and covering the Middle East. During this time, he has gained a wealth of knowledge of Financial Planning combining both his offshore and onshore knowledge, giving unbiased advice to, develop, implement and manage financial strategies in a manner to reflect the client’s personal circumstances and goals. Outside of work Tim is a keen golfer and rugby supporter.

Will Price has been with Old Mutual International since 2014 as Area Sales Manager (ASEAN). He brings with him years of experience in sales and client management. Prior to joining Old Mutual International, Will was with Zurich International for 12 years in client centric roles with his last position as Singapore Sales Manager. In Old Mutual International, Will is responsible for identifying new business opportunities and developing existing relationships / business levels with local and expatriate financial advisory firms across Singapore & SE Asia. Will specialises in High Net Worth Insurance solutions for corporate and individual High Net Worth clients. Will holds a degree from Northumbria University.

As the founder of Forthplus, Chris Holyoak realised his vision, using the best and worst of his vast experience in the pensions industry. He is a member of the Pensions Management Institute and an active voice in the pension’s arena. Chris is known, both internally and externally, as having a passion for pensions. When his team at Forthplus were asked for a word or sentence to summarise Chris, “passionate about pensions” was to the forefront, with ““honest, open and transparent” close behind. Friendly, approachable, knowledgeable and intelligent were also mentioned. Chris runs the Forthplus operations with a focus on market development and is the primary point of contact for business owners and senior management of regulated financial advice firms. He is also the first point of contact for relationship matters and technical queries. With an extensive knowledge of pensions, Chris is very keen to share this knowledge with the outside world.

Dr Tan Chong Hiok is a Cardiologist practising at Mount Elizabeth Hospitals and Gleneagles Hospital, Singapore. He is an accredited echocardiologist certified to perform 2D echo, treadmill stress echo, dobutamine stress echo and trans-oesophageal echocardiography. Dr Tan spearheaded intervention via the radial approach in Changi General Hospital. Prior to setting up his private practice, Dr Tan was the director and senior consultant of the Invasive Cardiovascular Laboratory at Changi General Hospital, as well as a visiting senior consultant at the National Heart Centre and Tan Tock Seng Hospital.

Bobby Hinchliffe spent his early career running and growing his own ceramics business based in Yorkshire (UK) which grew to be an internationally renowned firm. Bobby has carved a highly successful second career providing financial advice to his high net worth client base in Singapore and Malaysia. His Yorkshire charm and honest style made him an instant success with HNW clients and has become known as a specialist in pension planning with a focus in UK Pension transfers (QROPS). Bobby has three grown up children and spends his spare time on the golf course with his wife Gill and enjoys a glass of real ale and the eateries of Club Street.

Deepak Singh is a Senior Financial Consultant at Global Financial Consultants, Singapore. His hard work and dedication have earned him the “Best Performing Advisor” for 3 consecutive years in 2016 to 2018. He started his career at AIA insurance, Singapore as a Certified Financial Planner. After gaining experience for 1.5 years at AIA, he was recruited by Global Financial Consultants. At present, he is working closely with Singaporeans, PR’s and Indian expatriates. He uses his expertise to advise his clients on CPF investments and to make long, medium and short term financial plans. These financial plans include kid’s education fee planning, retirement plan and moderate term savings. After working for 5 years, he is now managing SGD30 million as Asset under Management. Deepak’s mantra to success is to create a long-lasting relationship with his clients based on trust and giving tailored advises to match their expectations.
